And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in. (Isaiah 58:12)
Welcome to Restoration Missions, the missionary ministry of Kevin & Tatiana Webster. Our purpose and vision is to be instrumental in raising up a generation of committed followers of Jesus Christ in Russia, throughout the Russian-speaking world, and anywhere else God may send us - a generation that will truly build up ancient ruins, lay a foundation for the future, stand in the gap to repair the breach, and be restorers of God's ways that others might dwell in them. Our heart cry from Isaiah 40:3 is to prepare the way for our soon-coming King, making a clear, straight highway through the desert for our Lord.
Our current goals for 2017 are:
Weekly production of video sermons in Russian posted to Murmansk Christian Church's YouTube channel which minister to individuals and are watched in church settings in Murmansk, St. Petersburg, and in other cities in Russia, the United States, and around the world.
Continued work on an exhaustive, unique Greek-Russian Lexicon of New Testament words. After several years of working on this it is about 35% completed. We would like to see it more than 50% completed by the end of the year as well as significant progress made toward having it published in a freely accessible electronic format.
Translation of Keys to Better Preaching by John Garlock from English to Russian. This is an excellent book that will help pastors all over Russia and the former Soviet Union with their most important and often most neglected task: sermon preparation. Ruthanne Garlock has asked us to re-translate this (It was first published in 2007 with a very poor translation) and prepare it for both standard and electronic publication.
We plan to spend at least a month in Murmansk this year to minister to the church and especially to ministers. In addition we are planning several trips for them to travel to visit us here in the United States. It is a high priority for us to maintain personal contact with those who exercise primary care for the works we have planted. In addition to this, a door has at long last opened for us to travel together back into Tatiana's homeland of Belarus. For many years we have prayed for this opportunity and we really hope to be able to take steps now for future ministry there.
